Mayer Corporation Arranges $45 million Refinance
The Robert Mayer Corporation successfully completed a refinance of The Waterfront Beach Resort, a Hilton
hotel, in the amount of $45 million. The financing replaces previous debt arranged in 2006. The lender was
Morgan Stanley Capital Holdings, LLC of New York. The new debt contains very unique provisions for limited
defeasance costs during its five year term to allow the early repayment of the loan upon the commencement of
the expansion of the hotel.

New Restaurant at The Hyatt Regency
The Robert Mayer Corporation has closed and begun the renovation of the original “Californian Restaurant” at
the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa. The new Watertable restaurant will expand the size and
seating count of the restaurant, provide a spacious bar, fireside lounge, library area, an outdoor dining patio with
trellis, and feature a new, contemporary cuisine featuring locally farmed products. The Watertable will feature a
unique blend of old and new, rustic and refined, and “essential pairs” of food and drink to encourage sharing and
conviviality with both hotel guests and locals from the community. Significant remodeling and expansion of the
production capacity of the hotel’s main kitchen will also occur.
The Watertable is the result of a yearlong planning and design effort
and will represents approximately $3.75 million in improvements to the
hotel. The restaurant is scheduled to open in late March, 2014.

Robert Mayer Honored as
“Champion of Youth” by the
Huntington Valley Boys and Girls Club
The Huntington Valley Boys and Girls Club began a new tradition
at the 35th annual benefit held at The Hyatt Regency Huntington
Beach Resort and Spa by awarding the “Champion of Youth”
honor to a member of the community who goes above and
beyond to help create great futures for kids. Robert Mayer was
named the inaugural honoree for his decades of commitment to the kids at the Boys & Girls Club. Mr. Mayer not
only helps the Club with significant contributions each year, he also gave the lead gift that allowed the
organization to build the Robert Mayer Child Development Preschool at Golden West College.
Now, hundreds of children benefit from the preschool each year. And, with childcare on the community college’s
campus, moms and dads can get the education they need to provide a great future for their kids. Mr. Mayer’s
investment in and commitment to the Boys & Girls Club changes local families’ lives for the better each and every
day. CEO Tanya Hoxsie says, “He was the first person to believe in our dream of building a new Club. Without
him, we wouldn’t be where we are today.”
Over $475,000 was raised at the annual benefit, and both the Hyatt Regency hotel and The Waterfront Beach
Resort were major sponsors of numerous vacation trips and prizes used to raise donations.
